I'm looking for species that can comfortably live in a 15qt. I'm thinking of buying a rack that has a combination of 15qt and 32qt sterilites and don't know what to house in the smaller containers.
Thank you.

The basic answer is that a tub with the dimensions 17x11 could comfortably house a snake under 30" total length.
Do some research for yourself and find out which ssp. of snakes stay in that size range and you will have your answer.

As anyone who has done research knows, sometimes the info you find is outdated, inconsistent, incorrect, etc. and the experience of others can sometimes be a valuable resource. So my asking questions serves as preliminary research. I'm asking one question that those more experienced can answer rather quickly rather than me possibly wasting a lot of time looking into a species that in the end is not a good match for what I'm looking for. Not only that, but a lot of species are hardly mentioned in caresheets, etc and sometimes not at all. In asking this question, I've already heard of some snakes that I did not even find information on or have ever heard of.
When I find one caresheet that says a snake can live in a 10 gallon and another that says a minimum of a 30 gallon (for the same species and sex) - well, I guess it's best for me to accept the answer that best fits my needs and not see what others think. Thanks! That will make my research go a lot quicker and I'll stop wasting your time.
I think you are misinterpereting what Chris is saying.
He's simply giving you his opinion that any kingsnake that stays under 30" in length as an adult will be suited for the enclosure you have...then suggesting you look into which kings are that size, which ones you LIKE that are that size...etc.
There are scores of subspecies of kings...so it's best you decide which you like based on those parameters.
You are always going to find people have different opinions. All we can do here is share what has worked the best for us individually. Conflicting information isn't always a bad thing, since people sometimes do things differently and get good results. The problem sometimes comes when people say that their way is the ONLY way. Best for the beginner to look at all sides and make his decision based on what makes the most sense to him.
If he thought you were wasting his time, I don't think he would have responded at all.

If I took your message the wrong way I apologize. Based on your message title and content I may have jumped to the conclusion that I was being put down for asking the same question on each forum and appearing to not be doing any research.
Again, I apologize if I misread your message.

Today is the first time in years that I have looked at this forum. I have got to say that I thought the meaning of the responce was pretty clearly stated and quite rude.
This used to be a place where beginners felt comfortable asking questions. I'm far from a beginner but I think I'm going to be real careful what I say on this forum.

Wade,
There sometimes are rude responses here but for people who answer alot of questions here it does get a bit frustrating telling people to use the search option to find a topic thats been discussed a thousand times or even use a search engine to find out how big my Cal King will get. There is a general forum to ask such questions for one and its is against TOS policy to cross post on multiple forums. I remember in the day (LOL im starting to sound like my grandfather) we didnt have the internet so we went to the library or [purchased a TFH book to get answers. Now its so freakin easy to do a search on Yahoo or whatever that its almost criminal to ask questions of general nature. Im not saying that the question that started this thread is general but wait and see if its answered on one forum instead of multiple posts on other forums.

I must say that I have found this website to be VERY helpful and the experts and longtime hobbyists on it have been patient with me and free with excellent advice. And I am just some random lady with a couple of pets!
On the other hand, the initial question was interesting to me, too, as I am wondering what to do with my 10 gallon vivarium when my baby grows out of it...
(I'm the one who posted the original question)
You can comfortably house an adult male Kenyan Sand Boa in a 10 gallon. I have one and he's so cute. Based on suggestions I've received in other forums, some ideas I like and am going to look into are rubber boas and scarlet milk snakes.
