Eating Shed

I noticed that many lizards eat their shed. does it have any nutritional value? why do they eat it?

I don't know but maybe it's the same thing as dogs eating they're vomit? Or cats covering they're poop? I've never seen mine eat theirs. Maybe they are just tidy housekeepers and don't want the neighbors to think they're slobs.
