Val Verde County Report 5/30-5/31

I hunted 277 from 8:00pm until 12:30am
and all I saw was this little feller at 12:10 a.m.
about 1 mile north of Loma Alta.

I have seen several this size up there, must be that mountain air.
It was over 7 feet, but just how far over I am not sure.
I am 6'1 and could hold it by the tail with my arm extended
straight up and its nose would touch the ground.

Big puppy dog though, nary a hiss or strike.

Even if that guy is a midget, that freakin snake is huge. Steve Irwin's head would have exploded had he seen that and jumped from his moving truck to catch it.

I dream of being in an 18-wheeler tailgating a truck that Steve Irwin jumps out of directly onto the road...... LOL.

That's a whole lotta bull! I love pics taken of big snakes that show a person for size comparison.

how do you know the person in the image isn't a midget?

I know the frustration, i have not been having luck on the roads as of late finding anything except DOR here in Mobile, AL area.

I'd be elated just to find one ALIVE half that size!

WOW... I stumbled upon a 6 footer when I was a kid and almost crapped myself! I don't know what I would have done if I'd seen THAT one!

Yes, it MUST be the mountain air. btw, there are a TON of bulls around Baumgardener Hot Springs in Idaho... that's where I saw the one I was talking about.

Yeah, that is alot of bull...I'm pretty sure it's well over 7 feet...btw, that is me holding it I'm only 5'4" but the snake is easily 2 feet longer than I am tall....I couldn't fit my hand all the way around the snake.
