I've seen people selling various ssp. of Agamas as "Poor Man's Beardies". Kinda silly if you ask me - anyone can get a beardie for $25 nowadays...
called the false bearded dragon since it does not have the customary beard that other dragons do, but it is like bearded dragons in all other characteristics.
They are also called Rankins or black soiled dargons, but their sceintific names is henrylawsoni. There was much debate over the offical naming of this species and there were several other names proposed, but this is the one that prevailed, although in the US they are most commonly called Rankins

There is a baby rankin at a herp store here in town for $150. Are they commonly this expensive?
