i read somewhere that they live from 6-12 years
its still a developing balance. We know of two bearded dragons that are 14 years, 1 that is 12 years, four that are 11 years and several that are 8-10 years... BTW, the eight- nine year old female produce viable eggs this year that hatched and I am getting one of those babies
We tried to do a study on their history and past diets, one thing that did stand out was that most of these dragons had very little intake of protein and fats. Greens and veggies being their main diets. In three of them, that was and has been their only food source. Only one of them has protein and fats on a somewhat regular bases through it's adult life.

A local petshop has a really old looking beardie, and they said they only feed it crickets about once a week, and only if he at his greens on the day they were feeding him crickets. Mine still won't touch his greens, so that will be my summer project.
later (got to go to school)
Someone came into the petshop that i work in. He feeds his adult dragon feeder mice quite often. I'm not sure how old the dragon is or anything, but what are your thoughts on a high feeder mice diet? I'm sure he had some greens in it. Just wanted to know. Thanks.
Feeding mice is on a regular basis can cause fatty liver disease if done thoughout their lives. Some people will feed a female mice after laying eggs.
IMO, he's probably doing some damage.
