How long before my red striped ribbon snake sheds?

B_man Dec 02, 2003 10:02 PM

Hi, I am new to this hobby and was wondering about this. We caught her a little over a month ago (October) and she is just a baby. I have been feeding her on average about 6 to 8 rosie reds per week. Will she shed anytime soon?

Well fed snakes usually shed approximately every 4-6 weeks. Your snake could start showing the signs any day. Or she may decide to make me a liar and wait til sometime in January. Just be patient and enjoy your snake every day. She'll shed when she is ready, not when you or I think she should.
