Tank Maintinence

miamixj Dec 02, 2003 10:20 PM

How often do you folks do tank maintinance? I have a pair of yearling BRB's housed in a Vision 36x21x23 enclosure. I guess they are actually undersized for such a large enclosure but I wanted something they could grow into. I keep the humidity gradient from about 79 degrees on the cool side to about 84 degrees on the hot side at an ambient humidity well in the mid 80's on a bed of reptibark and moss. I feed them about every 7-10 days and they are eating small rats now. They seem to be doing well and have both recently shed and eaten.

My question is given the high humidity and constant wetness how often should the enclousure be cleaned out? Also, any comments on this set-up and the living conditions? I will try and post pictures soon.

Clean the water as often as needed. Pick up urates/poop as I notice it and completely clean and replace bedding when I feed about every 8 to 11 days.
