I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'm totally lost when it comes to taming my new Argentine B&W Tegu. I have many questions, but have been able to find NO answers. I need as much info/suggestions/leads as I can get! Can anyone throw me a bone??

Take it slow. At first just try hanging around the cage until he doesn't run away when he sees you. Then if you can get close enough without him freaking out try to pet him. Take a week just petting him then when he starts walking put your hand in front of him and pick him up when he walks over it. The main thing is if he tries to get away or gets scared let him be, don't grab him or anything.
Thank you for your response Rollin, I've noticed some of your other replies and they all give very helpfull advise. It's nice to know there are people so willing to share their knowledge and experience! Things began pretty smoothly with my new Tegu, but seemed to take a sudden, and drastic, turn around. He has become more and more aggressive rather than tamer. Perhaps I pushed too hard. I'll try slowing it down and see what happens.
you should give him more time to acclimate. If you want to touch him and he didn't like respect that and leave him allone, otherwise he will get in panic...
What would you say if a tall guy would like to touch you all the time and you don't like that???
