Baby gecko vomited......please help!!!!!!!

neon11 Jun 02, 2003 06:47 AM

I just got this girl on Thursday, she was doing fine for 3 days and now yesterday she threw up every time she ate. I ran out and got her fresh crickets, I also thought the tank might be a little warm so I am taking it down a notch, we had a warm day yesterday. How long should I wait to feed her again? She is active and she wants to eat,I just don't know if I need to give her time to settle her stomach? I also wanted to let you know it was not from over feeding, 2 crickets yesterday and 1 overnight. I have to guess she is about a month old or so.
Thank you.

Most likley it was the fact that the cage got too hot. Several of my geckos have thrown up right when I got them because of stress and heat change. My advice to you is to wait one day just as long as she is not too skinny, and adjust the temperature and cage setup and make sure she is comfortable. Then I would try and feed her maybe a few crikets or mealworms.

Good Luck,
