Sounds like your little one is only a few months at best. They typically lose their green coloration at about 14-16" long. Also with regards to diet, make sure you are using the meat products you mentioned as a SUPPLEMENT to whole animal foods like crickets, superworms, roaches, pinkies/fuzzies etc. It's very important to keep the bulk of the animal food in their diet in the form of whole organisms. >>Next question. Is there any way of determining the age of a Tegu with any degree of certainty? I'm guessing that my Argentine B&W is between 8 months - 1 year, but I'm only GUESSING. He is 18" long (including tail), the only sign of the green coloration remaining is a slight green tint on the top of his head,he currently eats both meat products (tuna,turkey,etc.)and fruit/vegi's (banana,avacado,etc.)
