Quick Question

My friend has a large female iguana. It has not eaten in about a week and the first six inches or so of its tail are stiff as heck. Can someone tell me what is wrong based on this info? thanks in advance...

That's "dry gangrene". It will ascend the tail and eventually kill the iguana unless he takes it to a vet to have the infected part amputated. The stump will re-grow another, slightly different tail.

Hurry, hurry,

Roger
