Depends on your heating elements... like if everything is controlled by one thermostat, it all has to be at the same temperature. If you use a couple thermostats, then you can have different levels at different temps. Humidity you can control in individual tubs through venilation holes, misting, and the usual tricks.
I personally love heat tape as a heating element.
Quarantining is always a concern when snakes are kept at such close quarters.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
Thanks for the info. Pretty much all of the species I've been thinking about have the similiar temp requirements so I should be okay. Just wanted to double check.
I didn't even think about problems with them being so close together - what's the typical requirements/steps for quarantine?
I think a 2 month quarantine would be pretty safe. Actually, in my experience, all my new snakes that ended up being sick showed signs in under a month (some quite depressing). I might quaratine wild caught snakes a little longer than 2 months.
Mites would be a big vector of disease in rack systems. Hopefully you won't have to deal with those. I had to learn the hard way.
