Need some help.

alkee42 Dec 03, 2003 01:37 PM

I just started working at Petco again and yesterday was my first day back. When I went in the back room they had an albino leo that wont eat and looks like it is very dehyrated. I am going to talk to my manager to see if I can take it home. I was going to try and give it some hydralife or some electrolytes as well as some liquid calcium. I have never delt with sick leos before so any help is appriciated very much.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I'd advise against taking it home because if it has parasites or a disease it could spread to your collection.
I would recommend maybe trying to treat it at work, maybe stay an extra 15-30 minutes after close or something. It is great that you want to help it, but I'd be worried about my own collection as well.
hope this helps

Pedialyte and turkey or meat baby food should work. Has the leo been seen by a vet? It probably has parasites and isn't going to start eating without treatment, most likely.
