why almost? Just curious, because that is a really pretty snake
Are candy canes strictly amel-miami selective bred, or just selective bred amel?

Thanks!
Well everyone you ask will have thier own opinion. I personally don't believe a candy cane has to come from Miami lines, especially since "Miami Phase" is much more a "look" than a locality now adays. This little girl actually does come from Miami lines. I think she just has a little too much yellow in that first stripe(it has developed slightly more since that pic) to be called an ideal candy cane. I know if I had started the thread saying "Orange Candy Cane Motley" the critics would have had a hay day pointing that out to me. So I was just playing it safe. I think she has great potential as a project corn though. Thanks agian!
okay, so she could be a canycane maker then
(sweet job
) lol
Pretty amel whatever you label her, and yeah, if you had called her a candy i'm sure someone would have had to spout off about the yellow markings....some people!

That is probably the best looking corn I have ever seen. Is this the one from the photo contest? What is the age? I'm curious to see if it stays that white. Unreal!

She had just turned one in the pic, now she is a little over two years old. She was a slow grower at first but now she is starting to take off. She is not as contrastiing as she was, her white still has no yellow or peach tones, but it is turning a kind of "off white". She still looks great though. And no she is not the same corn from the photo contest.
I personally like the second snake, i'd buy one of those if i could
ThX for the pic
