Granite Spiny Lizard...

jeph Dec 03, 2003 04:17 PM

Hi,
I posted a pic of a western fence lizard here a while ago. I've been wanting to post this one for some time now. I wish I had a better pic though, this one isnt really a field pic. I caught him in reche canyon-(riverside county,CA.) with a friend. We took it home for the night and this was the only pic I took of it. I figured I'd get some more the next day when we took it back to release it- boy was I wrong. As soon as its feet touched the rock that thing was gone, I even had my friend set it down and I had the camera ready to shoot, all I got was a blurry bright looking thing. But this was by far the coolest lizard I've ever caught in the field. I wanted to show him here where some people would like to see it.Thanks for your time and enjoy the pic. Its just so bright.
