Tethys questions Everyone PLZ!!! answer. id like to know what wrong with my gurl

Okay about a week and a half ago i had tethys ( female 21" and saturn (male 25-26" together in the bathroom. Then saturn noticed tethys and did his usual head bobbing and chasing, only this time tethys never ran away. So i held onto saturn and then i just let him go and see what he would do. he grabbed onto her crest and tried to mate with her. i say " tried because" his penis never reacher her vent area because they were only together for about 20 seconds. After this tethys never got stressed out she was still bright green. so i thought she must have matured and was ready to live with saturn. So i stuck her in the big cage with saturn and then one day about 6 days ago i noticed she was darker than normal. so i just let her be in there for a couple more days but she was still dark so i took saturn out of the big cage about 2-3 days ago and put him in the other cage to give tethys a brake.

Now the question. Tethys is still dark and she is not as energetic and doesnt move around as much anymore. She also isnt as aggresive when it comes to feeding.(she ate half a fuzzie and wouldnt eat the other half)i can hardly pick her up out of cage anymore either. She just became skittish all of a sudden.

Can anyone please tell me why she is being like this.

First, after you put them in the tank toghter, they may have actually mated when you weren't around...it doesn't take long. Now she may just be recovering from the stress involved with mating. It's kind of a not so happy looking process as the male holds down the female and usually bites her crest or neck the wraps the tail around...it's stressful for the female.

She is probably stressed. Let her calm down for a couple days.

Don't handle her or rearragne her cage. Keep the male out of site. Offer her food but remove uneaten food after a couple hours.
You can even mist her with warm water.

She should be fine. Nothing to worry about unless she goes more than a week without food, then I'd be concerned.
