Mali doesnt eat

shyguy4217 Dec 03, 2003 06:28 PM

My mali doesnt seem to be eating much at all lately, he won't even eat fruits or mealworms! He doesnt seem to be losing to much weight though, should I be worried or should I just keep offering fresh greens even if he doesnt seem to be eating. Is their anything that will stimulate his appetite? I've already tried bee pollen and it seems to have no effect on him.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just about everybody's uros have slowed down and have reduced appetites. Perhaps your mali is trying to brumate. Was he eating ok before? If he was, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just keep offering him food for the odd time he'll be hungry enough to eat.

By the way, very cute mali

My mali has gone several weeks at a time without eating. Sometimes crickets get him to eat. I offer fresh greens every few days until he's eating again. As long as him comes out to a bit and seems healthy I wouldn't worry to much about him.
