Dented eggs?

wizbang Jun 02, 2003 09:24 AM

Are dented eggs a sign that the eggs are too moist or not enough or is it a sign of something else.

My clutch is almost a week old now and some of the eggs seem to be too dented (but maybe I'm just paranoid)

If an egg is dented but otherwise healthy looking, it is most likely dehydrated. Just moisten up the medium a bit and cover them with a slightly damp paper towel. The eggs should be fine once you get the moisture up.
