is duck tape safe?
I don't see why duct tape wouldn't be safe. I personally have been using masking tape but duct tape would probably have a better hold.

foil tape. you can get them both at wal mart in the hardware department. the reason i suggest these is because they are both meant to be used with electronical devices. so they can handle the heat and also in the case of foil tape, will not interfere with heat transferance. they are reasonably priced. good luck

It can be used to patch a hole in a muffler or exhaust pipe in your car. I guarantee those temps are more extreme than anything your UTH can kick out. It's relatively cheap too. If you can't find it at walmart, check out a hardware/automotive store.

Are you using the Repti-therm brand of UTH? Mine fell off too, ended up just replacing it, cause I was afraid to use anything to stick it back on with.
But heck, I'm glad you asked, with all the replies, at least I know what to do if this one falls off, hehe.
