I looked over and her was twisted in a weird position. On closer inspection he had lifted one of his back legs up and around so his underside was facing up (though both front feet were on the rock) and was licking (or licking near) the pores. I went to pick him up to see if something was wrong, but he thrashed himself around and I didn't want him hurt, so I let him be.
Any ideas?
Stuff that may or may not be related (I don't know)...
Prior to that he had been sleeping on top of the rock, but sleeping while standing as high off the rock as he could. Every 20 minutes he would turn himself around or move an inch or two on top of the rock and go back to sleep.
He was keeping an eye on the humid-hide during this time (which was occupied by the female, I suspected (his skin is looking a tad dry). I thought that was confirmed when 15 mins after the thrashing she stepped out and he walked in almost as soon as the tip of her tail left.
He didn't stay, though. What he did do was throw out the moss, then proceed to follow the female around the tank twice (maybe three, I dunno). She'd walk a couple inches and stop, he'd walk a couple inches and stop. She'd take a step or two and he'd take a step or two. It was funny in a way (though I was still concerned about the licking his underside) because normally he's oblivious to her - even when she's walking on his head (he's bigger, but the quiet type). Then she went in a rock-hide to sleep and he went on top of the rock to sleep (this time with his belly pressed against the rock).
They've cut back on worms from 15 a piece every 2 days to 5 or 6 worms every 4-6 days. I'm sure that has something to do with the season, though.
But, what's the deal with him licking his pores?
(I wanna make sure it's at least normal and he's ok)
