What's the Best Food for Bullfrogs?

turtlesong Dec 04, 2003 03:46 AM

Just wondering, besides from crickets and earthworms, what the best food is for bullfrogs? I'm afraid of MBD besides, so I want to vary mines diet.

I wonder. Could small eels be another valuable source of food? How about shrimp? Both of these are available as live foods where I live, but crickets and earthworms are non-existent.

Nightcrawlers, large crickets, and hissing roaches. It is helpful to use vitamin powder every few feedings to supplement calcium.

Well, I've been feeding him crickets up to now, since winter is here and I cannot buy crickets at the petstores in South Korea. I've been digging up my own earthworms, but again, winter is here and they're hard to find. So my problem is finding other foods.

I've heard boiled minnows and fish are okay. What do you think? With these I can insert a little stick or two of turtle ReptoMin to give the frog some needed vitamins. Moreover, what do you think of pinkies and baby mice?
