Virginia Locality corns

Tony D Dec 04, 2003 10:40 AM

This locality project has been stalled for some time. It was originated to a past president on the Blue Ridge Herp Society who has gotten out of snakes. The person who took over the project unfortunately subsiquently passed away and all contact with other animals was lost.

The two animals in my collection both turned out to be females and I am looking for others who might know something of this line and can point me in a dirrection that might lead to a male VA corn. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Nice animal...I don't think many on here are into locality corns, which is a shame. I believe that if more herpers worked with locality corns, we might see new genetic morphs pop-up.

I posted a question about whether or not anyone was working with a line of corns that came from NJ (before laws were enacted). NJ locality corns would be interesting to see. Someone must have collected, studied or photographed them in the past, since they are now endangered (probably due to overcollecting and land development). I wonder if there are (or were) corns in Delaware?

oh well.
