red bull question

g.gartner Dec 04, 2003 12:23 PM

Hi folks,

I'm new here and had a red bull question. I recently bought a red bull from glades herp in FL in august. The parents were extraordinary, and already at only about 5 months, the baby is one of the most richly colored red bulls I've ever seen...does anyone have any idea where these snakes came from (blood line or locale???).

I'll try and post pics at some point.

cheers,
gabriel

Several lines out there. John Ginter has a locality line from Kingman (?) TX. All others I'm aware of don't have any locality info associated with them. Generally these are just selectively bred animals and all reds are not created equal. The most red neonates are most likely to mature into the best adults but this is not always the case. Speaking soley for the line I work with its a project thats still in progress but production is becoming more consistent with each generation.
