Oranges??

asia2003 Dec 04, 2003 12:50 PM

Hi All,

First of all, Amigo is having some shedding problems, and I can only assume that the colder weather is the culprit here...so..he takes a warm (not hot) bath every night, and we have had no luck with his shedding, it is still coming off literally scale by scale. Rollin advised me that fruit could be the answer, and had mentioned that kiwi works as it is high in Vit C, and I was wondering if oranges would work also??? The reason I ask is this....I live in FL, and wintertime here, is citrus fruit season, so I have an abundance of oranges, tangerines, and grapefruit right now. If anyone can answer this, it would be a great help.

oranges would work great (also let the insects eat some of the oranges before you feed him). you said his scales are coming off while he's shedding try putting some type of oil (olive, etc) on them, it helps a lot. you can find a good bit of info on shedding problems at bluetegu.com. hope i helped a little, justin

Thanks Justin....

Amigo LOVES oranges I have discovered today, and I also got the same advice earlier this evening where the oil is concerned, so after Amigo's bath tonight, he got oiled too, I swear he looked relieved!! lol

Thanks again
