My newly acquired male went in to slough just after I got him...his eyes cleared on monday and he still hasn't sloughed is this unusual?Ambient air temp is 83-85 hot spot of 88 and has humidity chamber filled with sphagnum moss which he has been using and the humidity is registering at 88%..had large pythons in the past that seemed to take ages once their eyes had cleared just wondered if its normal with bloods..thanks

Hey,
Yes!! it is normal for them to not shed right away, they do some times take a little bit longer, but once they are ready they will shed with nary a hitch if all of their parameters are met within the enclosure set-up. Even so, they some times tend to have broken sheds and a little soak using one of the aforementioned techniques from one of the other threads will assist in completing the shed with no subsequent problems.
