for whatever it is worth, I have a male that is a normal that has splashes of extra melanin like that.. he also has nice white sides a bit to make things more interesting. I however doubt he is anything other than an "interesting" normal. Even if proved to be genetic, it doesn't to be a trait of much value in my opinion.
