mulder73 Jun 02, 2003 10:52 AM

Hi there! I have a 2" spettacled caiman. I fed it regurally mices, beef, chicken, ecc..few time ago I discovered my little caiman loves pellet food. I mean dog fod the dry one. Is it good?I think it's quite balanced. Am I wrong? Is it a god schedule for a young caiman?tnx

The caiman needs higher protein levels than are found in dog food. My advise is to leave the dog food to the dogs. Burris Mills produces chow for crocodilians if you want to feed dry food. In my experience, it's messy and smelly and not good for specimens housed indoors, others may have different opinions. The formula is supposed to be good for a balanced meal though.
