Seperated BD's

Well turns out both my beardies ended up being male rather than female. I've made sure to keep an eye on them very closely as soon as it was apparent that they were both male. They are buddies and love to bask together, but this weekend I noticed the first beard blackening and head bobbing out of Smeagol. I immediately seperated their 60G tank with a peice of glass that my friend cut for me until I can afford a new tank probably after Xmas. They are super bummed that they can't kick it together anymore and are occasionally trying to climb the glass divider. Should I make the glass so they can't see each other and could one still get intimidated by the other if they can see each other?
