I have been leaning towards a panther cham. Would it be wise to use the mecury vapor bulb, or should i get a basking light and a repti sun flouresent tube? what do most of you use for your panthers?? thanks for the info!

Both produce UVB and A. MV will produce more heat so you'll have to keep a closer watch on basking spot and the cham's skin temp to avoid burns. I use an infrared temp gun for this and LOVE it! ReptiSuns are not intensely bright, but use them with a halogen spotlight (I like those outdoor porch lights) or a regular house light bulb and you can do fine. I've heard the MV bulbs can be fussy and fail without warning too.
