Baby RES - Shell Discoloration =(

payley Dec 04, 2003 05:50 PM

I am soooo sick of posting health-related messages on this board! My turtle with the respiratory infection is healed, but now the other baby is getting shell discoloration. I rarely see it bask. It's the more shy of the two so i figure it's just scared of all the people walking around. I've been putting it out for a few hours a day to get some sunlight. Any other suggestions on how I can force this sucker to bask?

It could be that your baby is getting ready to shed. They
often kinda lose their coloring. Keep a proper set-up and
basking area and don't worry too much. Chances are he is
basking when you are not around. If you have your turtles
together make sure that this one is not getting picked on by
the other.

Hope this helps
Linda
