Pic of my veiled & question

speedracerbecki Dec 04, 2003 06:45 PM

I took some pictures of my veiled chameleon! I just saw her fired up colors about a week ago when the cat took an interest (situation fixed) and then again when I tried to take pictures. I've had her for about 5 months and never seen her color up like that, does that mean she's just pretty well adjusted?

The question is this, does she look like she could be gravid? The pic of her looking mostly normal (just a little poofed up) she looks fine, but then the other pic of her showing her colors and very poofed up, her belly looks a little lumpy. I assume it's just her puffing up to look as big as possible but I'm certainly no expert! What do you guys think?
Here's how she usually looks

Oh! I didn't realize there was a whole different set of colors to show that they were gravid. Do they show those colors whether they've mated or not (mine has not)?
