water bowl?

quanno Jun 02, 2003 11:27 AM

I read a few posts about people not even using a water bowl for their beardies cuz they get enough moisture from greens and such. Ive also never heard of a beardie actually drinking from the waterbowl.. but mine do. Its hard to catch but several times since ive had them, ive actually witnessed them sipping from the bowl for a few seconds. they get plenty of suculant greens and fruits. so do i need a waterbowl? it would take a lot of hassle out of the situation if i didnt.

Since you've seen your beardie drink from one I would always keep one in the enclosure. A dehyrdated beardie is more likely to become ill. I know it's more work to keep the water bowl clean and have fresh water in it everyday. I always have fresh water for my beardies. =D Just my two cents worth.
