I was wondering if anyone has had there beardie turn his beard all black and get pissed cause they were holding there snake in the same room? Tonight mine got all mad i was holding my green burm and the lights just went off in my beardies cage and he was hitting the glass and i looked over and his beard was all black and he was staring at me.

I have a King snake, and if you hold it by the beardies tank, they get PISSED!!! Puff out there beard and open their mouths... They DO NOT like the snake.

yeah i know that they dont like snakes its the first time that i was holding my snake away from the tank and he got all pissed and was hitting the glass.when i put the snake away he was still mad when i tryed to touch him he ran then tried to bite me.he isnt to nice to begin with he hates being picked up but once i get him hes ok hes 17 inches right now.the cage i got has a sliding glass front so im not reaching in on him to pick him up but hes still goes nuts when i try to get him

Wow... sounds like your little guy is in a bad mood... Mine have only gotten pissed if the snake started slithering over by their tank. Hopefully yours will relax. Good luck!

A few generations back their relatives were trying to scare off king brown snakes and death adders! Australia is a tough continent for a lizard.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

I think it's just in response to other animals in general. My dragon will try to eat my smaller snakes when they're out, but one of his favorites past times when I lived at home was chasing my mom's cats away if they got too close.
