cage sealant?

im in the military and i was given a crate (looks like a big wooden cage) and was wondering what was some good stuff to seal and stain it. thanks, justin

Use at least 3 coats on the inside and let it cure/air out for at least a week before putting the animals in it. It should have no odor at all (smells really strong when fresh). Billy
