My garter recently has decided to stay in her skull. She was recieving food daily (four goldfish or guppies) and was spending alot of time out and about in her cage. I had to leave town for a week and my wife talked to someone at the pet store and they told her that we were over feeding her so she decided not to feed her. She hasn't been out since. I can see her if I look into the skull and she appears to be alive and alert( she pokes her head out) but she just won't come out. Is this normal behavior when they shed? Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
