petshop beardies

at a nearby pet shop, they were housing a full grown bearded dragon with a sulcatta tortoise and a red toe tortoise together. i was wonder is it possible to house bearded dragon with other reptiles?!?! does this stress out the tortoise and the dragon?!?!

They should be reported to the authorities.
Give your local Humane Society a call.
How you can own a pet store and do such stupid things is beyond my realm of thinking.

1. Each carry their own bacteria, one could kill the other.
2. I'm sure they have different housing needs, temps etc.

I had thought my favorite local pet store was a good one until I noticed the same thing the other week. They had baby dragons in the same small tank with 2 small leopard tortises (at least I think that's what they were). And they were giving me crap because I'm raising my baby dragons with out crickets...

First of all, they must have never heard of a thing called "parasites". I have contacted animal control regarding a pet shop before, and it worked (at least for the time being). The next time I did a sneak peak there, things had cleaned up, ALOT, that reminds me, I need to make another stop there to check things out. As far as the crickets go, I too am trying to get my guys off crickets. Pet stores sell crickets, this is why they gave you a hard time about not giving them to them (of course the also sell bearded dragon pellets). Good Luck. Keep us posted!
