Don't think that I haven't noticed a few jani pics sneaking by.........lol. This is a holdback male from '02. Don't let people tell you that some hatchlings don't stand out. I'm hoping to start an extreme orange line with this guy.

There is tremendous variance in baby jani, and often, the best can easily be picked out. Look at these three youngsters, pics taken after their very first shed in Aug. 2003.

This is a current photo of the last animal pictured in the previous post. Like Steve's beauty, I think this one will have killer orange! Nice animal Steve!!

of an outstanding herp.
I haven't seen any young jani's with that much color and orange already. It's something to imagine how the snake will look when the color intensifies. That's a screamer already and I don't know what the word is above screamer when it becomes an adult. Thanks for sharing. Now I've seen you post several holdbacks and secrets recently Steve. How many more are you going to spring on us? LOL.

Terry.........so you think I'm holding back on you?.....you're right........I am.......heheheh. That yearling has a half brother(same sire, different female) that is really shaping up. I'll put some pics up of him shortly. I'm not sure if he will have as bright an orange on the head as his old man, but he will be a looker...........stay tuned!
Check this bad boy out. I believe his anterior ground color will lighten up to a shade similar to his old man. The black blotches will make a nice contrast. Those posterior colors are already smokin'. Can't wait till he's a 6 footer......wooohooo!

awsome snake steve.. what a looker

Folks I have to tell you, I've seen a lot of nice jani pics recently, but I have NEVER seen one as nice as Steve's breeder male. I saw it in person a year ago.
It's an absolute knockout.
Why don't you post that pic of big daddy Steve?
Dean.......this pic is over a year old, but he looks pretty much the same. I didn't really notice any noticeable color change in the third to fourth year. My experience is that the adult colors pretty much set in by their third birthday. The colors just appear more striking as the animal gets larger. He's getting ready to shed, but I'll try to get a nice macro shot of him soon.

Those jani of yours are simply amazing! I've never seen combinations of color and pattern like they display.
Keep up the good work,
Van
