I just got a gray-banded blair kingsnake and i noted he likes to hand out of the upper rim of the tank. there is a hide-spot in there one the warm side, 85 degrees. He just entered a couple hours ago, is he exploring or is something wrong. Thanks
btw he is a young snake

Nothing's wrong, this is what my young kingsnake does also. I think they like small spaces to hide in and the rim is perfect sized for them.
