These are one of the best monitors to have and probably the best to start out with. They hover at around 24 inches. Usually less, sometimes a little more. They like to dig and they can be fed an insect only diet. They are usually friendly and social animals. The appeal to me is their personality. They're very playful and active. They're nice when compared to other monitors. Go to www.proexotics.com. They have a great website with several caresheets and articles.

If they don't have any available, I have a pair I might be willing to let go, and also, check the kingsnake classifieds.

There the perfect 'pet' monitor.....if u wnat a pet got w the yellows there cheaper and lil less feisty. Want breeding project go w reds little bit bigger plus there a more colorful lizard. Ron Groce has some nice reds for really cheap in the classifieds. Like he said u can get lone males for nothin but go w a little guy its fun too watch them grow. Thats the best part of owning ackies if u ask me. Pro exotics has got a nice caresheet also go search the Reptile magazine archives for ridgetaio monitors there is a excellent article there. Great lizards i really enjoy my breeding group!!
