Well, this would be a good time to show my dragon's new cage. He was getting too big for his 20 gal so I had this one custom built. It's 48"Wx24"Dx30"H. Made by Cages by Design. Metal frame, plexiglass panels, sliding door and a stainless steel mesh top. A big cage for sure but he's more than happy. That's him on the branch in the picture. He's 14" long right now to give you an idea. He actually has room to get up and run in there!
As for what they eat and how often, well, mine is still spoiled on superworms. But they eat crickets, roaches, grasshoppers, etc. Even mice when they get bigger.
And for cages, well, if it's a baby you gotta play the musical cage game like I just did. You start with a 10 gal, then to a 20 gal, then to a permanent cage. They say at least 50 gallon for an adult but I'd recommend more. My cage is well over 100 gallons and it does the dragon good. You should see him stand up and dash to the other side. He knows where the glass is too and stops short. Well, that's my 2˘ anyway.
