wc juvy tx rat pics

I had the desire to go for a ride the other night right at dusk.
Not a soul on the road except me and this little fella.
Looks like a tx rat (lindheimeri) to me. The only other thing it could be is a a great plains rat (emoryi) but the pattern on top of the head should make a very clear broad "V"

(course I've been wrong about rat snakes before...like my yellow rat I thought was a bairds )

It looks emoryi or meahllmorum to me. Could be an integrade of meahllmorum X emoryi. Depends on where you found him.
