Is anyone breeding any different color phases of BTS?

scvreptiles Dec 05, 2003 11:28 AM

I was wondering if anyone was working with either eastern or northern BTS with either a different pattern or color variation? The only thing I've seen listed is an ugly anerythristic Indo BTS from Prehistoric Pets for some ridiculous amount of money. I currently have a hypo Eastern BTS and I am looking for something to pair him up with. I prefer the aussie animals over the indo species because of color and attitude. Has anyone ever produced an albino scincoides? I've enclosed another shot of my male.

James Wilson has an albino female BTS, or maybe he said it was leucistic. I know its one of the two. Iv'e seen her, she is snow white...an amazing skink. I know he is working on some other very interesting color variations...I got my Northern from him, and he looks exactly like that hypo eastern of yours.

I should tell you that your skink is great. but not a hypo. It is typical of the easterns that are found in the inland desert regions of Australia as opposed to the much darker form that is found in south eastern coastal Australia. As for albinos, You will have to go to Australia. Feel free to e-mail me for pics. I have a couple of an albino Blotched that still speed up my heart rate.
