Temperature problems...............

RaffertyReptiles Dec 05, 2003 11:37 AM

hey i was just wondering the temperatures directly under the basking spot in my beardy's tank are really ideal its probably around 100 maybe 101 degrees F, and on the cool end there like 75 maybe 80 inbetween there but on the warmer side not thats not directly under the basking area the thermometers read like only 80. Is that ok, is it only the basking area that matters or should i lower the basking light and make the basking area alot hotter to make the other area hotter? any advice is appreciated.
thanks

Basking temps should be between 105 and 115 degrees, so you should probably lower the basking light a little. Your cool side temps sound good.
