Hello. I am a Japanese collared lizard lover. I have bred 21 collar lizards, such as an aquaflame. Although I was when the collared lizard of hypo-melanistic existed, does it exist truly?

I think you have very nice collared lizard too, and have a healthy collection of geckos as well! Welcome to the forum.

Thank you, John. I cannot speak English. However, I wish to enjoy this forum using translation software. I was able to get aquaflame of the wish in this year. It succeeded also in breeding.I want to get Yellowheaded and C.Vestiguim next year.By the way,I saw hypo-melanistic collar lizard at the shop in Japan.I did not know whether it was hypo-melanistic truly. have you heard hypo-melanistic collared lizard?

Sounds interesting though. best of luck finding the yellowhead and vestigium. They seem to be some hard gems to come by.

OH WOW ! What a wonderful website you have, I enjoy lizard pictures very much, taking them and looking at them.
You have beautiful lizards, the geckos, collareds beardies, Iguana, and all of them, turtles, Just magnificent pics, thank you for sharing them.

As far as hypo collareds, I think you must be thinking of your leo geckos, or Bearded dragons, as I never have heard of any hypo melanistic crotaphytus species.

Again nice to have you as a forum buddy, hope you stay around, take care, from the east coast of USA Eve

morphs that are bred specificaally for there colour traits, what i mean by that is ive never heard of say a yellow collared getting bred with another non-descript coloured collared to produce a heightened colour, the way they do with balls and leopards.Mind you i dont even know if its posibble to do that,i think i heard on here that you could breed some drab collareds and the resultant babies can be any colour really, from drab to super green. But what do i know, lol.

...and welcome. I enjoyed your pictures very much, you have some very nice lizards and some interesting examples of Geckos. I also raise the Tribolonotus Gracillis, and I was very pleased to see yours on your website. Were your collared lizards shipped to you from the U.S.? I do not know if a hypomelanistic collared lizard would be something to seek, as the black component is very important to the appearance of the species, and without the charactaristic markings, the lizard would seem to appear too much like a generic agama. While it is intriguing to produce interesting color morphs in a species such as the Leopard Gecko, the collared lizard is most interesting for the natural colors and patterns seen in the different areas of its range, and to me at least, the pure examples from specific localities have the most appeal.

the collared lizard currently sold as hypo-melanistic
was a collared lizard without as black a portion as even a collar
cannot almost be found.
Since it was a very beautiful collared lizard,
I desired to purchase in order to check whether the beauty is hereditary.
However, since it was very expensive ($3,000), I gave up purchasing.

Thank you for giving you and information.

Over here in the Sunny UK I have just brough myself 2 new baby females.

Both c.collaris and now i can easily tell that Lou Lou is a western collared where as these 2 and Dave are easterns.

They are stunning,One is very green like Dave just without the Yellow and the other one is pretty much Yellow all over,

They are sistsers as well so i couldn't split them up.
Eating well already and up to mischief already.

They along with the other 2 cost around £40 which is i guess about $60,

Would love a blue one but they would be expensive and i bvet they would get snapped up very quickly,
