I have recently aquired a very very young crested. I'm having a hard time getting him to eat fruit. He eats crickets everyother day but i can't get him to eat babyfood. IS it ok for him to just eat crickets for now or should i keep trying ?

Any suggestions???

Sometimes they go for the crickets but miss them...then I find the crickets dead in the morning in the substrate.

Crickets are fine, but I think they do need fruits. What baby food are you trying to feed them? My Aurics seem to prefer apricots (lots of calcium there) or bannas.
Have you tried dipping thier noses in the baby food, might work.
Good luck!
