Let us know if hes okay, or what, I don't really know why he'd be on his back, if hes alright, BUT....
If he did not make it, you just have to ask, was he in good condition,(good enough to bruamte) was he beefed up enough. Well let us know, I'll also be back later. Hope everythings okay ! Eve

dead, all the others are awake now and hes still in the same position as i put him in,also theres no breathing and his jaw muscle is loose.I think tomorrow i will take the females and swap them for something that i know i can look after.Collareds are great and im gonna miss em but its not fair if i keep losing them to my own idiocy or unknowns. Its been nice here maybe ill be back later on when i feel more confident with collareds but i doubt it will be anytime soon

Dang Jason, Really sorry buddy ! I know what an awful lousey feeling it is, when I just lost my 6 eggs a few weeks back. To open them and see that they were all perfectly formed, and then died at the end, really left me feeling badly.

I think in your case, as far as all your recent loses, it is the collareds that are available for sale, where you are.
They seem very unhealthy, extremely thin, almost emachiated, atleast a few that you had bought and showed us. Pretty colors but in poor health.

It is very difficult even for the most experienced reptile keeper to work with an animal that is so weak and thin.

You need to find a GOOD breeder there, and get healthy well nurished collareds. I feel you would have a better outcome. And find keeping them much more of an enjoyment, than a (SAD ORDEAL)

You have had a couple that look good, and they are fine. Your Leo looks great, your monitor looks fine. So fatten up the ones ya have and keep at it.

As for me, I have to realize, everybody at one time or another has had eggs that don't make it.
I can happily say I got to watch a couple of my own hatch this summer and it was something I will always remember, with such excitement.
So buddy gotta run, we're getting pounded with snow here, and have to shovel before the next storm starts in a few hrs. LOL

Cheer up, gee now that I know you, and like you, your gonna leave, no way dude don't ya dare, I'll even let ya call me a flirt again. hehehhehheeh,
GET THOSE COLLAREDS FAT & SASSY & ready for SPRING !!!! Later, Eve

i dont know what to do really,i have them out of brumation now anyway,as for breeders around here-theres no chance of that.I just dont wanna be known as dr death on here because thats all i seem to be posting about(or maybe thats all that sticks in my head?)I know 1 thing for sure i wont be buying any more "rescues" as it seems i can only prolong the innevitable which isnt fair on either me or them. The store that i got them from acctually bought them in because they know i would buy them and i did,3 of them of which 1 is still alive scorpio and odin perished to unknowns and now blizzard has succumbed to what would seem to be another unknown. The strange part is that he was the fattest of them all, maybe worms?I have 1 who is CB that i bought as a hatchling 2 years aago and shes never gave me cause for concern and ive got the 2 WC's that have gave me a little hassle but are otherwise ok.IM going to weigh it all up and then decide if its in their best interests to keep going or just give up for now.IF i do give them up ill still be next door (monitor forum) and ill pop in to say hi and keep up to date with kong.Oh eve how come not too many people keep dickersonae, especially since they can be so nice looking, are they rare or protected?Sorry just trying to change an otherwise sad subject here.

If you do move next door to monitors full time, I will come and visit just to make your day ! LOL you will stay around though, just have a feelin.

I won't get back into the causes right now, maybe in a few days or so we can all hash it over to see what may have happened, but your right, you don't want to talk about it now.

Well as far as the Dickersonae, they are most beautifully colored. I think MOST people don't have them because they are expensive. They are not protected. Just very highly priced, for alot of people.
Also Males tend to be aggressive with female.
But hey My Zuni c. collaris got overly charged up this mating season and became sexually aggressive with Hopi too, so hey, it happens.

But if you, meaning(anybody) are serious about them, you will be willing to spend the money.

I remember when I wanted my C. Vestiguim, I thought WOW ! pricey, because I had just been purchasing avg. priced lizards.
But it meant alot to have them, they were gorgeous to me, so Thats what I received for a Christmas gift that year.

If I see a colorful lizard I want, and it appears in good health (or I think I can help it to get there, I don't mind spending more. Tierd of listening yet, hehehhhheeh, later Jason,
Have a Bud, and enjoy your family this weekend, relax!!!! Eve
