Surinam or Guyane???

Jezabel Dec 05, 2003 02:35 PM

I'm not sure if it's possible to tell them appart but if so, what locals do you think he/she is? He has nice color but he's terribly underweight. I got him yesterday from someone who obviously didn't know (or didn't want) how to properly care for him.

Thanks for your help.

What others would call a Guyanan. TBH I don't know if there is a difference. Nonetheless it is an incredible looking animal. I would love to have it in my collection.

Thanks for the input everyone! She's doing great soo far. After a night in the water bowl to rehydratate, no signs of mites. And she ate already! He's in better shape than what I thought at first.

Hi Jezabel,

I would say it looks more like a Guyana to me. Here are some pictures of one of my female Guyana's.
It sure is weird how your boa and my boa have the same half saddle in the same place.
Anyway he / she is a nice looking boa.

Take care,
Tom

Thanks Tom! I hope mine will grow to be as nice as yours!!! The broken sadle is really weird. The half sadle is even on the same side of their body.

BTW, I really like your website. Lots of pics and great videos!
