yay
Im so excited, i just bought 2 brazilian rainbow boas
female and a male.
They are cute and very friendly and have beautifull markings.
They are 4 month old and havent eaten for around 4-5 days what the breeder told me.
I forgot to ask him how long to let them get used to new environment before feeding them
any ideas?
They are sleeping in a branch right now =) pretty cool
They are so adorable =) rainbow boas for life!

Michiel,
. Conventional wisdom says to wait a week before feeding a new snake. This is so they will become acclimated and not puke because they are stressed by their new environment. I hardly ever wait that long. If they seem to be calm and relaxed you can feed them in the next day or two.

Today i learned 2 lessons
1 dont feed a rainbow boa out of your hand...
2 dont touch your kingsnake after holding a rainbow boa
hehe
Im going to be patient and try feed them tonight or else tomorrow... they seem very calm

Sounds to me your BRB's are going to eat with no problems.
Have fun with your new snakes.

Funny you should mention feeding out of your hand. I used to dangle the mouse by the tail in front of one of my girls and she would just grab it not paying any attention to me. I wouldn't reccomend this however ; ) When feeding tho remember snakes just see heat so if they smell mouse and see heat (which can be mouse, you or anything hot) they think mouse. So if you were handling your kingsnake after you fed your brb the kingsnake probably thought mouse.
