i just checked and i got in just fine. the mod. said "it was a new room they are no longer on mirc". whatever that means.

What it means (since I am not being barraged here like we were in chat) is that we moved to a new hosting program for chat. mIRC was are previous program up until early this week. With some of the things we needed to run chat week smooth and the security measures that mIRC webmasters were creating, it became impossible for us to continue on that system.

Hi-

It uses Java and sometimes Java dosent load right, if you just restart your computer it should correct that. If you are using a newer computer you should have no problems, Java dose take a some time to load. Hope this helps!

Maybe thats it. It would let me in saying that it was loading then it would make this boing noise and then nothing. i even let it sit for about five minutes and still nothing. I will ahve to try again Sun.

Hey Dawn,

Just wanted to help if I could. I had this problem when we first started testing the room. A few things you and other users can do that worked for me.

First off Check how old your operating system is. I had a hard hard time getting into the rooms at all until I updated my java. Ill get you the link before tomorrow afternoon so you can try that.

Another thing was I had my settings too low on the temporary internet files. To do it in internet explorer click on tools, then internet options, then in general by temporary internet options click on settings. Raise the level.

Last thing that may help is to run a disk cleanup before heading into chat and clearing out all temporary internet files.

Here is the link for the English Windows version of Java. Users with Windows XP machines DO NOT have the java virtual machine component installed by default. Older versions Windows already have the VM installed to run Java packages. It is recommended that everyone that NEEDS java applets download the latest version if they encounter errors.

WARNING: Installing a new version of JAVA under an existing VM platform can lead to problem and inconsistencies on otherwise working systems. DO NOT DOWNLOAD the new version UNLESS you have existing errors. K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid), if it ain't broke, dont fix it.
