FINALLY got them in..............

Brian Oakley Dec 05, 2003 10:49 PM

I had to share a bit as I was very excited to make this deal. A bit of history first. 3 years ago I sold everything I had and bought a house. For the last 2 years I have been building my collection again trying to get back what I sold.
Anyway, I got a good portion of it back tonight. I have been working on trying to put this together for the last few days.
I just brought in a proven male Salmon. He is awesome, produced by Rich 3 years ago. With him I got a proven 25 POUND normal female. I know, you might ask why, but they are always good to have. Lastly is a 7 foot female Anery. Nice looking snake and should make some nice ghosts next year with my DH Ghost male.
I know what you are thinking and I am a step ahead of you........kinda. You ask, where are the pics? I came home, was going to post some pics to share with everyone. Got them all set up, pulled out the camera and.........you guessed it. DEAD BATTERIES!
Anyway, if you all will be patient I will post pics tomorrow OR later tonight.
Just wanted to share. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I can't wait to see the pics. I get "tempted" to do that as well somedays. We still don't have a house.....And, I do have a good portion of money tied up into snakes.

I really hope I will not have to do that for a down payment. But, having a house is VERY important to me!!! I just hope I can find another way.

I was having this discussion with someone in Florida today. I was saying that in a way I regreted doing what I did. Reason is this. Although I was able to have the down payment by selling everything, I then had to save up to get my snakes back.
What is the difference? I could have kept the snakes, saved money and bought the house. In all reality I probably could have bought the house in a relatively short time had I just kept them and saved the money from breeding rather than buying more snakes, vacations, etc. Either way, in the long run, it was a win win situation.
Hope you get that house John!

Congrats man

I know that feeling well. I unfortunatly sold off my whole collection a few years back, and have had to slowly piece it back together over the last year. I havent been as lucky to pick up adults, so I will be years away still. However on the bright side, the second time around I have been able to get a couple animals I never would have imagined obtaining last time around.....lol... isnt addiction grand.
